                 READING AND REFLECTION OF BOOKS 
 BOOK-1
             HISTORY OF MODERN INDIA

                           The death of Aurangzeb in 1707 marked the beginning of the end of the mughal empire.The successors of Aurangzeb ,called the later hold over the empire and independent kingdoms grew up in every pary of india.Ofcourse,the mughal emperors remained there till 1857 but they were emperors only in name .Mostly the remained puppets in the hands of their powerful nobes ruler,Bahadur shah 2 was deposed by the british after the revolt of 1857 and deported to rangoon to die there as a prisoner.

                           It is now generally accepted that the second cera kingdom disintegrated after the disappearance 'under strange circumstances'of Ramakulasekhara, the last cera ruler by 1122A.D, M.G.S.Narayanan suggests "there is no reason to reject the tradition that the last cera king embranced islam and went to Mecca,Since it finds a place not only in Muslim chronicles but also in hindu brahmanical chronicles like the keralolpatti,which need not be expected to concoct like the interest of the brahmin or hindu population.

                                          The history of any country or region or of the world as a whole is generally divided in to periods and sub-periods .This is done on the basis of some specific criteria.One criterion which is common in terms of dynasties that ruled over it.If contemporary history is distinct from modern history ,It is useful to have an overview of modern history.

                               The story of indian architecture covers a long period of five thousand years.It was essentially a product of the soil,and whatevertouched it in its long course of development practically grew into it giving it new form and colour in each successive phase .The remains of the two cities reveal a remarkable sence of town planning.

           ESSAYS ON INDIAN NATIONALISM

                             Free india has been largely guided by the vision of swaraj that generations of freedom fighters had . The Indian National Movement was one of the greatest mass movement in world history. The Indian National Movement was fully committed to a policy based on representative democracy and the full range of civil based liberties.
